In this demonstration, we connect a 3D model of the historical complex of Uplistsikhe (Georgia) with a series of panoramic photographs taken in the same location, which allows the user to smoothly switch between both types of media files. This provides an opportunity to visualize and navigate throughout the entire territory in a format convenient for you. Change perspectives and easily switch between a "bird's eye view" and "close-ups" at the most important points to examine them in all the details that panoramic photography of each zone can offer. The 3D model used in this tour was created using photogrammetry. This means that a drone took multiple aerial photographs from different angles over the entire complex, and as a result of complex analysis, the software created all the geometry and applied textures to the photographs themselves. This allows us to create a detailed and accurate virtual copy of a real object. On the other hand, panoramic images were taken directly on site in the most notable zones of the complex using 360º cameras.
