The repairs have already been done: is it still possible to save the acoustics?
Acoustics are too late after repair - many people think so. However, this is not entirely true. With the right approach and technology, acoustics can be improved even after renovation. At 360° Space Acoustic we use impulse response (Dirac function) to create the optimal acoustic system. This approach allows us to consider all factors that affect acoustics, including the layout and treatment of the room.
What method should I use to improve acoustics?
We use the standard Thiel–Small method (1965), which is based on sine signals. However, this method has a low efficiency of 1.5–5%. That's why we complement this with a 3D room scan, which allows us to create an accurate model of the room's acoustic characteristics. This allows us to optimize the layout and treatment of the room to achieve the best acoustic results.
How important is the correct arrangement and treatment of a room?
Proper room layout and treatment are key to achieving good acoustics. Room errors can reach 18–25 dB, which is much larger than electronic errors. That's why we use 3D scanning and Payos Audio Main Control's own active 3-way monitors to create the optimal speaker system. In our projects we use these monitors for precise private installations and studio monitoring.
What technologies are used in 360° Space Acoustic?
We use a variety of technologies including 3D scanning, impulse response and our own active 3-way Payos Audio Main Control monitors. These technologies allow us to create an optimal acoustic system that takes into account all factors affecting acoustics.
